National Enterprise Network is a unique membership body representing those working in the enterprise support sector across England. We believe our members are crucial to England’s economic growth. We support the work of our members by representing their interests to Government and others in the public and private sector, promoting the results they achieve to influencers and policy makers and connecting them with people and projects to help them achieve even greater success.
Our membership is traditionally, but not exclusively, made up of not-for-profit enterprise support organisations providing independent and impartial advice, training and mentoring to new and emerging businesses. We represent a variety of enterprise support organisations; including enterprise agencies, Chambers of Commerce, local authorities and other specialist providers.
Why We’re Supporting #MicroBizMattersDay
National Enterprise Network and its members exist to support people thinking about starting a business and those already doing so, and the vast majority of those businesses are micro businesses. Those very smallest businesses who are the backbone of many local communities and at the heart of our national economy.
Our members spend all their time working with people from the idea stage through to start-up, survivability and ultimately growth. But the most important thing is to put the foundations in place to ensure that all the businesses we help to start are rewarded and those businesses start well – they will then have the greatest possible chance of success. Those businesses helped to start by our members have a greater chance of survival than average and we believe that’s because the time was invested in getting things off to the right start.
Whether you’re a small retailer, a graphic designer, a marketing consultant or a small manufacturing outfit our members can help and will be only too happy to do so, providing information, advice, mentoring and a whole host of other support to get you on the right track.
There is greater recognition for the efforts of micro businesses now more than ever before, and not before time – micro businesses have been the driving force in many market towns, small towns and cities for and year years and there is no better time than now to show your support for their great work – that’s why we’re getting behind #MicroBizMattersDay and why we think you should too!
