Following a Degree which led me to Malaysia for several years I returned to the UK and found gainful employment with the Learning and Skills Council where I worked for several years as Executive Officer. I was head-hunted by Scope, the disabilities charity who were reorganising their Chief Executive’s office. As an Executive Assistant I supported an Executive Director who spent most of his time outside the office working with our teams across England and Wales. I was his ‘right hand man’ in London.

In 2011 my family took the big decision to move to France. I had a reasonable level of French so this was not as frightening as it might have been. I decided to set up a business on my own in 2015 as a Virtual Assistant and I provide support to clients both in France and the UK.

Why I’m Supporting #MicroBizMattersDay

This is the first time I have supported #MicroBizMatters Day and I am delighted to be involved. As a tiny business I have seen just how important it is to have a network of like-minded people around to offer support and encouragement. I hope it’s a hugely successful day for everyone.
