Graduating as a chemist, I started my career at a multi-national corporation which gave me fantastic opportunities for travel and the opportunity to undertake some of the best training in the world. I soon realised that being a small (like, minuscule) cog in a large wheel wasn’t for me! I wanted to make an impact. I wanted to be creative. I wanted to make a real difference somehow. Ten years later, after working in Senior Management roles for SME’s, I realised I wanted to work for myself and that the one thing that really gave me satisfaction, was helping other people. I now use the 20 years’ commercial experience I have gained to help micro and small businesses succeed.

I established Assistant Central in August 2014 and love the the variety of my working day and the flexibility my job gives me. I have a particular interest in working within the construction industry, but also provide generalist administrative support to my diverse array of clients.

Why I’m Supporting #MicroBizMattersDay

As a micro business owner myself, I know we make the world go round! With over 5.3 million micro businesses in the UK at present, we represent 96% of all UK businesses, providing 32% of all employment opportunities. Without micro businesses where would the economy be? I’m helping so I can encourage and support other micro businesses, especially those in their infancy. Of course #MicroBizMatters!
