Why I’m Supporting #MicroBizMattersDay
I am very excited to be supporting #MicroBizMattersDay and it’s a cause that I am particularly passionate about. Having been introduced to Tony at an awards ceremony in 2014 I have closely followed Tony and Tina and #MicroBizMatters, and how it highlights the contribution independent business owners and self-employed people make, not only to the growth of this country’s economy, but to the global economy.
Additionally, startups such as the company I own, Jigsaw Medical, contribute not only to the local economy by providing jobs and security for staff, we also provide a fantastic service to the general public through the provision of highly skilled staff and brand new, state-of-the-art equipment and ambulances.
Tony and Tina do a fantastic job advocating the importance of the small business and startups, again something that particularly resonates with myself. When I launched my business back in 2012 I was lucky enough to have a lot of help and support from experienced people as well as some fantastic family and friends. But not everyone is lucky enough to have that, so as a result, I can’t wait for January 8th where hopefully I can impart some nuggets of wisdom and advice to other micro-businesses, whilst also gaining crucial advice and tips on different things I can do to help me run my businesses.
